Flight Training

Goolwa Air offers flight training for RAAus RPC and CASA RPL,PPL and CPL.

RAAus Pilot Certificate can be obtained in as little as 20 hours.  An additional 5 hours of training enables you to carry passengers.  A further 10 hours and you are qualified to fly beyond 25 nautical miles and explore our beautiful Australia .

Our aircraft are available for private hire.  Or, have your own aircraft and we can provide one of our instructors at an instructor only rate.  Our pilots are also qualified tailwheel instructors in both RAAus and CASA registered aircraft.

$285/hr Includes Aircraft and instructor.  

Flight Briefings

Each Training Flight comes with approximately 15 minutes of flight briefings.  There is no charge for the briefing component.

Extended flight briefings are charged at $100/hr.

Students can expect to be charged 2-3 hours of extended flight briefings when conducting their navigation training.

Exams

There are five exams to be completed all which are conducted in house.  We do not charge for exams or exam sittings.  Our instructors will provide you with guidance on theory as you progress through flight training program.

Instructor Only 

Flight Reviews

Pilots require a Flight Review every 24 months.  Our instructors are qualified to conduct these flight reviews in both RAAus and CASA registered aircraft.

You can expect approximately 1 hour of briefing followed by 1.5 hours of flying.

Trial Instructional Flights

Why not give it a go.  There is no age restriction and students can go solo as young as 15.  Our Trial Instructional Flights include a tour of our school and facilities followed by a 30 minute flight.  This introductory flight also counts towards your logged training hours. $150.
